Stewart’s commitment and the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak

Dear Stewart’s Customers,

Just like you we are closely monitoring the fast changing latest developments related to COVID-19 (coronavirus). We are extremely committed to doing whatever is necessary to safeguard the health of our customers, employees and communities. Throughout our 96 year history, we have always stressed the importance of sanitation and cleanliness at our restaurants. With the latest impact of COVID-19 we are working with our independent operators stressing the continued importance during these times. We have always taken great pride in serving the best tasting food but even more importantly doing so with the best food service safety guidelines and cleanliness.

During this time of heightened concern we have stressed following all guidelines from local health agencies as well as recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Sanitation procedures are in place for frequent cleaning and disinfection in all areas throughout the day. Hand washing protocols are in place throughout the day for all employees and employees have been asked to stay at home if they are not feeling well or have been in contact with anyone that might have been exposed to COVID-19.

We will continue to monitor this quickly changing outbreak and to adjust our operations according to any recommendations from the health authorities. While some of our restaurants will be closed during this time, we will continue to work with our independent owners to make sure that once we reopen, that these procedures will remain in effect like they have for the past 96 years.

We hope and pray that our customers, employees and families are healthy and safe during this extraordinary time and we look forward to serving our famous Stewart’s Root Beer Floats and delicious food for years to come with nothing less than a safe and clean environment.
